The Waterside is a proposed residential development that will be positioned to the South West of Gainsborough town along the banks of the River Trent. Gainsborough has recently seen great investment in the town with multiple regeneration projects in the area already complete including the Marshall’s Yard shopping centre. The town has a strong desire to transform old unused areas into modern functioning spaces that thrive in the modern era.
Gainsborough has also shown its desire to keep the industrial character of the town by retaining many of the historical features and incorporating them into the new developments.
West Lindsey District Council have shown their support for development of the site approving outline planning permission, allowing for 245 residential units.
