Redevelopment of a historic building overlooking Scarborough’s beautiful South Bay.

 

Villa Esplanade is one of Scarborough’s Grade II listed historical buildings of special architectural interest, one of the finest in the area.

The building is described by Historic England as ‘GV II Circa 1840-50 Gothicised Stucco Villa’ and will include many period features including the ‘Corbelled Turret’ style tower, which will be incorporated within one of the apartments.

 

This early Victorian building originally designed with Gothic and Scottish Baronial influences, offers sea views over Scarborough’s Elegant Esplanade and Grade II Listed Gardens to South Bay, with views also to The Castle and to The Harbour.

To the rear of the original Villa is a later built Victorian building which has a more restrained design, in a Georgian Style, which will also be developed as apartments.

The development will comprise of 28 apartments offering tasteful accommodations throughout with the focus on bringing the building back to its original splendour.
